THE COACH’S MBA, SEMESTER 1

Cash flow, clarity, control.

A business owner sits across from you. Their finances feel chaotic. They are not sure what they are paying themselves, what they owe, or how to plan ahead when income changes every month.

You know how to coach. But business finances work differently than personal ones. The money comes in unevenly. There is no clean line between business and personal. And most coaching training never covers what to do with any of it.

Semester 1 gives you the frameworks to work in that space with real confidence. Cash flow, clarity, and control for business owners, built specifically for coaching conversations.

What this looks like in your practice

There is a version of your coaching practice where a business owner client brings up cash flow and you know exactly where to go.

You can sit with their numbers without flinching. You can ask the right questions. You can help them build a paycheck structure that actually works when income is irregular, and recognize a revenue shortfall before it becomes a crisis.

Not theory. Applied, practical, coaching-ready material. The kind of depth that used to live inside expensive graduate programs, rebuilt for how coaching conversations actually work.

Semester 1 is the financial foundation every business owner needs, and most have never built. It is also what most coaches step back from. This is what lets you step in.

What you will be equipped to do

After Semester 1, you can guide business owner clients through:

01Separating business and personal finances cleanly, and helping them understand why it matters more than they think.
02Building a paycheck structure that actually works when income is irregular.
03Recognizing a revenue shortfall before it becomes a crisis, and knowing what to do with it.
04Creating a cash flow system that gives clarity at a glance.
05Planning ahead for the expenses that always seem to catch business owners off guard.
06Having a real conversation about taxes. What to set aside, when, and how to think about it.
07Organizing a client’s financial life so nothing important slips through.
08Saving for the future as a business owner, and why it is different from what their W-2 clients are doing.
09Building and maintaining a business emergency fund.
10Knowing what to ask, what to say, and what to do next when a business owner client brings finances into the conversation.
Testimonial, Semester 1

“Most of my clients are women entrepreneurs who do incredible work but don’t pay themselves consistently. Many are essentially working for free. Semester 1 gave me structured tools to help them forecast income, manage expenses, and build a business that actually supports their life. It’s shifting my clients from survival mode to profit clarity, where they finally see how to earn, keep, and use their money purposefully.”

Who Semester 1 is for

Coaches in any niche who work with clients who own businesses.

Financial coaches who want to go deeper with business owner clients. Life coaches who keep finding that money comes up and the conversation needs somewhere to go. Business and executive coaches who want the financial frameworks to match the strategic advice they are already giving. Health coaches whose entrepreneurial clients are building something where the finances are part of the picture.

If you are ICF-credentialed or pursuing, you will earn CEUs. If you are a financial coach, this is the specialization that sets your practice apart.

The only thing that matters is this. Do your clients have businesses? If yes, this is for you.

Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that is not here, email info@FinancialCoachAcademy.com.

Is this an actual MBA program?

No. The Coach’s MBA is professional development training for coaches. It does not confer a degree. The name reflects the depth and rigor of the curriculum. What you earn is ICF CEUs and the ability to work confidently with business owner clients at a level most coaches cannot.

Do I need to be a financial coach to take this?

No. Semester 1 was built with financial coaches in mind, but it is for any coach who works with business owner clients. Life coaches, health coaches, business coaches, executive coaches. If your clients have businesses and money is part of the picture, this gives you the frameworks to stay in the conversation.

Do I need to take Semester 1 before Semester 2?

Semester 1 covers cash flow foundations. Semester 2 covers optimization and growth. We recommend starting with Semester 1, but if you are already working with clients at an advanced level and Semester 2 is where you need to go, it stands on its own.

What is actually inside?

A self-paced curriculum with frameworks, coaching conversation guides, tools, and resources. Everything is built for application, not theory or lecture. You will know what to say, what to ask, and what to do next when you are sitting across from a business owner client.

What if I already purchased the Specialty Toolkits?

If you purchased the original Specialty Toolkit 6, you already have this content. Semester 1 is the same curriculum, rebranded. You do not need to purchase again.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. Pay-over-time options like Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm are offered at checkout. The specific providers available depend on your country and eligibility. We do not offer a separate in-house payment plan.

Stay in the room.

The next time a business owner client brings up cash flow, you will know exactly where to go. Semester 1 is what gets you there.
